BABIES ARE BORN TO BOOGIE!

NEW FORMAT, PEOPLE!

Hi ya’ll!

Well, the good news is! DDPP is still here! We aren’t going away altogether! We’ll still be rockin’ out bigtime on sunday nights.

The only difference is, DDPP will be happening twice a month instead of the former format of every week. We hope this will boost attendance and get people pumped about this very exciting dancing experience!

Henceforth, we will be meeting on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. For March, that means the 14th and the 28th.

Hopefully, we’ll see you there! Until then, I leave you with this:

DDPP WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER THAN CATS WEARING A LIME PEEL FOR A HELMET! COME ON DOWN!

Nine is FINE!

Thanks to DJ Care-a Bear-a Stare-a for a ROCKIN’ good mix 2 Sundays ago on January 23! Although there was some drama at the studio with timing, she stepped up and we even danced the CHICKEN DANCE! ROCK ON, SISTA!

AMAZING! See you all this week for an incredible jock jams inspired DDPP in honor of the superbowl!

Playlist: 12/13/09. By DJ Elby. Lots of shout outs to Madonna/Abba. Love the repeat of the original song ( Abba – “Gimme Gimme Gimme a man after midnight”, sampled by Madonna’s “Hung Up”) Thanks DJ Elby for keepin it real!

Our Seventh Heaven

Hey all,

Below is the playlist that we had played last week 12/6. It was very well thought out and by DJ ELBY , yet again! I hope that we get new people to get on the bandwagon of making mixes for the group! It will be fun, I swear!

Also, thanks to our new friend Marie who came all the way from Randolph and schooled us on dancing, because she was an awesome dancer!

Thanks everyone for coming! We’ll be having a 2 week break after Christmas /Holiday time!  In the meantime,  HAPPY WINTER!

DDPP VI – improv-city!

Hello everyone! This week’s DDPP was one of epic proportions. The laughing that everyone did in the midst of jumping around and feeling free was incredible! The mix was random to the max! This was just a skimpy collection from her fiancee’s computer because hers is on the fritz. DJ ELby scrambled at the last minute to make a mix from music she was not familiar with, and this is what she came up with!

Welcome to Sara & Rachel who also were first timers! WARNING: next week, no DDPP. Happy Turkey Day, Ya’ll

DDPP V: The new era

Good week to you all! Last night DDPP had 4 new dancers come. Shout out to Ayala, Monica, Jen & Emily who trudged over the great Charles River to boogie on down with us! DJ RACHASAURUS REX did a bang-up job with her mix of “old school & new cool” music that threw us back to the ’90’s! These were the good old days of Lisa Lisa and Shaggy’s “Boombastic”. But I must say, the highlight of the evening was the brilliantly crafted “Pachabel’s Cannon” by a group Rachasaurus introduced us to called “ZOX”. This oldie but goodie, mixed with a new electric guitar mix of what is usually played in a wedding march had us jumping around like never before.

  Here is the playlist:

I hope everyone tells their friends of the goodness that comes from DDPP! It’s sure to continue to be a rockin’ good time!
